The federal cabinet approved the banknotes’ design, and the SBP was instructed to have the commemorative banknotes printed on paper locally. In August 2022, the public will probably be able to use the notes.
Previously, on August 13, 1997, in honour of Pakistan’s 50th anniversary, special Rs. 5 commemorative notes were released.
